The "Mercatino del Gusto" in CityLife
From the 5th to the 24th December, the Mercatino del Gusto will be set up in CityLife, in the newest Piazza Tre Torri (M5 Tre Torri stop) in collaboration with Longo Un Mondo di Specialità, entirely dedicated to food and wine specialties. A unique and original market which retains the features of traditional markets, with a sequence of 23 little charming cottages, each booth hosts a producer who presents the best of his company. An opportunity for a unique sensory experience, to know the heritage of the Italian artisan food and to have the opportunity to make Christmas gifts according to the best culinary traditions.
The star is the food, from sweets, delicatessen, fresh cheese, to wine and champagne. The world of sweets will be represented by some of the biggest names in our pastry and chocolate producers as Bardi and Chocolate Bodrato, without forgetting the fountain of hot chocolate, prepared at the moment by Marco Colzani, maitre chocolatier. Among the deli, there will be Bernardini, Dok and Joselito from Spain, while among the cheeses Guffanti will be present, who collects the best Italian production, and finally the great chef Giuseppe Zen, one of the best expressions of street food. For wine, Enoteca Longo and the Champagne house Henriot. There will be also beer Follina and grappa Pilzer. Alessi will represent the design with its unique style.
In addition, during the opening weeks, many events will entertain the guests: from show cooking and tasting activities to the big event dedicated to chess, scheduled on Sunday, December 13th : an event that will involve over 120 little players, for a simultaneous game against the vice world champion Luca Moroni.
